Spokane Area Fire Golf Tournament

Muscular Dystrophy Association has announced the 2012 Spokane Area Fire Golf Tournament being held at Meadowwood Golf Course in Liberty Lake, Washington on June 8th, 2012. The tournament features an afternoon of golf, dinner, silent auction, contests and much more. Funds generated from this tournament stay in the Inland Northwest, providing services through Shriner’s Hospital for Children and St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Center. The tournament consists of four person team scramble style golf. Cost for a team is $80 per person or $320 per team. Deadline to register is May 18th. The Coeur d?Alene Firefighters IAFF Local 710 stand opposed to the attempted recall of Mayor Bloem, Councilman McEvers, Councilman Kennedy, and Councilman Goodlander. Our Mayor and Council have a long history of strong, consistent support for public safety in Coeur d?Alene. Their foresight into the public safety needs of our community and management of the city budget have allowed your fire department to provide our customers with services like Advanced Life Support (Paramedics), technical rescue, and modern firefighting techniques through advanced training and equipment. This could not happen without their commitment to firefighters and the citizens we serve.
As an organization, the Coeur d?Alene Firefighters have no position on McEuen Park. It should also be noted that we respect everyone?s right to their views on the subject. However, we will not sit idly by while the reputations of four of the most dedicated city officials to have ever served any community are tarnished, and their terms threatened to be cut short.
We support those who support public safety. We support Mayor Bloem and Councilmen McEvers, Kennedy, and Goodlander. If you?re asked to sign the recall petition, please decline to sign.
